Melena Moore - Owner
In June of 2017, Melena purchased Bliss Organic Day Spa from her dear friend and Bliss Founder, Annie Carouba. After working with Annie, first as the Marketing Director, then as Operations Manager, her wildest dreams came true and she took ownership of her destiny and is proud to own the most beautiful and relaxing spa in Sonoma county!
Melena got her start in Marketing in a spa environment, so the work she does at Bliss is close to her heart. Her experience serves her well in the organic, wellness environment she loves to sustain at her spa.
Living in Northern California with her two young sons is her idea of true paradise!
Annie Carouba - FOUNDER
After a career makeover, Annie became an Esthetician in 2007 and continued her education by becoming a Certified Oncology Esthetician in 2011. The need for a specialized service to offer to clients dealing with cancer was a strong motivation in the creation of the spa and its services. Annie started the entrepreneurial spa life with a friend in one small room off the square of downtown Sebastopol. In 2012, she decided it was time to make the leap to her current location and create a luxury organic spa in downtown Sebastopol. The spa struck a resonate cord with the locals as well as visitors to the area and was successful from the start. Bliss Organic Day Spa has won "Best of" awards for Sonoma County five years running; the last four years being Best Skin Care Spa!
Lisa Boyd - Licensed Esthetician
Lisa is a seasoned esthetician who has a special talent for making her clients feel like old friends. In Lisa's experienced hand you will feel refreshed and 10 years younger! She is pssionate about skin care and will help you establish an at-home routine that really works for you.
Lisa loves her life as a homeowner and bussinesswoman in Petaluma where she takes advantage of all Sonoma County living has to offer. Hiking, wine tasting and spending time with her family and friends are just some of her favorite things.
Luis Briceno - Massage Practitioner
Luis’s journey in massage therapy started in his teenage days. After giving his mom a massage when she came home from a strenuous day of working in her restaurant, he found she was relaxed, and alleviated. Today, Luis is a Massage therapist and Health Educator and has completed 900 hrs of formal training at National Holistic Institute of California in both Eastern and Western massage modalities. He has experience working with individuals with injuries and who may need a more customized approach through massage. Luis's background in sports, yoga and fitness, coupled with his massage training has developed in him a passion for working with athletes, using specialized stretches and techniques to help quicken recovery time, and deepen training.
Luis is also a certified Yoga instructor, with a passion for surfing, who lives in Sebastopol with his family. Book a massage with him and you will enjoy the benefits of his well rounded training in body mechanics while feeling deeply relaxed and cared for.
Cassie Campbell - Massage Practitioner
Cassie attended the National Holistic Institute of Massage Therapy in 2015 where she completed a 900 hour program covering modalities that include: Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Energy Work. She has an intuitive and confident touch as well as a custom blend of both Eastern and Western techniques. Her style can lean more towards deep technical work or a nurturing and soft approach depending on your needs for that day. A massage with Cassie will leave you feeling grounded and more balanced.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing out in nature, traveling, dancing, spending time with friends, and studying other healing modalities.
Jennifer Foltz - FEATURED Craniosacral Practitioner
Jennifer is certified as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist through The Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. She trained with Gary Peterson 2017-2019 and continues to deepen in her learning as a teacher's assistant in his current training program. BCTS is a healing modality that works with the whole body and nervous system to release stress and tension while building resource in the client's system. She is certified in the Lange-Muller Method of Natural Facial Rejuvenation, a healing modality that combines biodynamic craniosacral therapy and chinese acupressure to unlock years of stress, tension, trauma and even scar tissue from the face.
Erin Dolan - Massage Practitioner
Erin has been practicing massage and bodywork for 16 years. She was trained at the Heartwood Institute, the only accredited residential massage school in the country, in 2001. Her training of over 750 hours consists of a blend of both therapeutic and energetic techniques, including specialized upper body release techniques, deep tissue and swedish. Erin's sessions are tailored to her client's individual needs, often pulling from all her various training and experience, to create a deeply personalized experience.
Dan Harrison - Massage Practitioner
Dan completed 900 hours of massage therapy training at National Holistic Institute, gaining experience in Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Myofascial therapies, and hot stone techniques. His focused, grounded presence and thorough knowledge of kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology help him to create individualized sessions with beneficial therapeutic results.
Dan also holds an MFA in printmaking, plays upright bass in multiple bands, and works on a local farm growing vegetables and raising chickens for eggs.
Melody Hopkins - Licensed Esthetician & Massage Practitioner
Melody studied nursing and psychiatric care in her early twenties. After interning at a drug and alcohol treatment center, she became interested in the healing arts.
Melody truly believes that there is a deep connection between our minds and bodies. She hope to enlighten herself and others energetically through body, mind and beauty practices.
Grace Lannon - Licensed Esthetician
Grace began her esthetics training in Santa Rosa at Lytle’s Beauty College. Committing herself to continuing her education through trainings in Gua Sha facial massage, herbalism, and Reiki energy healing with plans to never stop learning.
Struggles with Acne and a variety of health concerns brought her into the skincare/wellness industry. She seeks to help her clients feel good about taking care of themselves, aiming for them to leave the treatment room looking good and feeling amazing.
Grace has a background in visual art and enjoys spending time in the studio, often while bingeing Real Housewives.
Rayana Mears Keen - Licensed Esthetician & Massage Practitioner
Rayana, "Ray," grew up in the Nor Cal Mountains which marked her with an enduring love of nature and all the beauty her surroundings had to offer. After moving to Sonoma County some years ago, she now cannot imagine calling anywhere else home!
Her passion for wellness began with her studies in Massage Therapy as she believes in a holistic approach to optimum health, but found herself drawn to skincare and is loving her true craft. Ray is happily married with two teenagers and one fur baby at home and enjoys meditation, music and great food.
Kara Weimer - Massage Practitioner
Kara attended Alive and Well Institute of Conscious Bodywork in 1995 and since then has been committed to ongoing study in consciousness and the healing arts. With continuing studies in massage, yoga, meditation, energy healing, ayurveda, mindfulness, and wellness coaching, Kara enjoys sharing modalities that bring vitality, wellness and peace as we face the challenges of our modern lives.
Kara brings a grounded presence with intuitive, detailed bodywork catered to you. She also enjoys teaching yoga and meditation, spending time in nature and living a mindful, healthy lifestyle.
Erin Wong - Licensed Esthetician
Erin has been an esthetician since 2002. Her interest in skin health started at a young age, when her mother and aunties would humor her by letting her apply warm compresses and "potions" to their faces. She has a deep respect for holistic skin care and treats her clients accordingly.
One of her favorite parts of being an esthetician is working one on one with clients, while allowing them time and space to relax and rejuvenate while getting their skin treated.
Naia Dolan - Guest Services Coordinator
Naia was borna and raised in Sebastopol, and loves living costally in Sonoma County. She is studying the Arts and is an avid musician and aspiring actress.
Naia came to us from Analy High School because her mom, Erin works at Bliss as a Massage Therapist. Mother and daughter love hiking, traveling and laughing over a vegetarian meal.
Amanda Johnson - Guest Services Coordinator
Amanda grew up in Silicon Valley and moved to beautiful Sonoma County in 2018 to pursue her masters in clinical mental health counseling.
Amanda has been a lover, user and is obsessed with skin care products since she was a child and has now directed her passion on organic skin care! She would love to share her personal skin care experiences with you in hopes to connect and help you find your ultimite routine!
Carolina Mejia - Social Media Manager
Carolina was born in Greenbrae, CA, however at the age of 8 her family moved to the hills and valleys of wine country. She pursued her undergraduate education at Sonoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Women and Gender Studies.
Although she is a studious woman, she loves to delve into the world of art, music, and fashion. At the age of 10, Carolina fell in love with playing the piano and is now teaching individual piano lessons using interactive theory work to students all over Sonoma County. She also practices inferno hot Pilates on a regular basis to nurture her physical state and mental health. Carolina is a singer and a devoted admirer of fashion who is working toward creating her own clothing business.
Marisa Terry - Guest Services Coordinator
Marisa has completed 600 hours of training from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology and became a licensed esthetician in 2012. Her over 10 years of Guest Services experience show in her care for providing clients with gentle yet effective treatments, personalized to the individual's needs. Marisa believes in a holistic approach to life and skin care, emphasizing the symbiotic relationship between wellness of the mind with wellness of the body.
She moved from Oakland to Santa Rosa in 2017, and is happy to be living in such a beautiful place, with so many kind and generous people. Marisa has a strong love of animals and wildlife and a genuine love of helping people to achieve a relaxing and healing state of serenity. Professionally she is happy to have made Bliss her home and is excited to be part of the tribe!
